The Legend of Sleepy Hollow: A One-Actor Hunt

By Washington Irving
Adapted & Directed by Andrew J. Defrin

February 13th - 15th

In this innovative production, one actor takes on all roles of Irving's eerie tale. The legend tells the story of Ichabod Crane, a superstitious schoolteacher drawn to the sleepy town. As Ichabod navigates the shadowy whispers of Sleepy Hollow, the performer paints a portrait of Ichabod's obsessive pursuit of Katrina Van Tassel and his face off against formidable rival Brom Bones, all under the moon of the living landscape of shadows and folklore. Not to mention, the foreboding presence of a "Headless Horseman" who is said to haunt the region. At its climax, the boundaries blur between Ichabod's reality and the spectral forces surrounding him, leaving the audience with anticipation as the curse of Sleepy Hollow unfolds. The production is supported by two live musicians and two puppeteers who assist The Storyteller in this fresh telling of an old classic.
